You can sacrafice and get 03 and down calipers, rotors, and bridges for the front if you wanted to get down to a 16 all around.

Its a lot of work but when you can fit a 15" rim you have a hell of a lot more slicks to choose from. Have you priced a slick or drag radial for a 17" or bigger wheel..... they Are higher than a jerraff's ass!
