It's a very long process to do right. It's more of an art than a science. I wouldn't do it myself.

I've done a lot of gear installs. It's pretty easy, as long as you keep track of your shims. Bearing need to be pressed on too. And a fancy bearing puller. you need a dial indicator too. I'd recommend you take it to someone unless your pretty mechanically inclined with a good set of tools. Including specialty tools.
