does anyone have a picture of these holes or a description of where they are ... im gonna put a cam in but i dont wanna have a lifter slide down into the engine that would be pretty aggrivating id rather be 100% sure that theyre gonna stay in place..Quote:

There are two holes in the front of the cam area in which you are supposed to slide rods all the way down the sides of the lifters to hold them in place. It is a factory designed hole. Rotate the cam a couple turns as mentioned before and then slide a piece of rod all the way in, 5/16" rod I believe. I haven't tried it yet but have seen it documented.
I second that. Also, what is the proper torque on the rocker arm nuts?Quote:

wow just Sunday and I already have to have dyno #'s, man yall are a tough crowd!
Chris
1. Dyno Numbers
2. Burnout Video
either will do
Rocker arm nuts get torqued to 22ft/lbs.
If you want to test how well the lifters will stay up...Before you pull the cam spin it a couple of times to get the lifters up. You can push on the rods and feel the lifters comming out of thier pockets. Mine were up there fairly snug. I was suprised.
Well I like my tires and have no funds for new ones or dyno time right now, give me a week or two.
Chris
Well it looks like we are going to have to wait to dyno my truck, I logged it with atap and the fuel trims were running very lean and I am getting knock retard at WOT past 4k rpms. Once I get this nailed down I will get in dynoed ASAP!
