Yeah if you want to do a mild cam while you have everything apart, then I would do it. You can buy a junkyard 4L80E and do a swap from the 4L60E, there are differences in the trans, but nothing too crazy. Do some searching on this site, there is lots of useful information.
What does a junk yard 4l80 run
Not sure, probably would need to give a few junkyards a call in your area.
OK and I read on the swap this morning on here how hard is it to swap the rearend yokes on the trans

My brothers truck is thm 400 swapped, just changed the speed sensor to electric. Cheap part, so cheap greg at phx just gave it to me.
Stock transmissions lol but my built 80e rolled the overrun sprang on the downshift. Tired of fooling with the 80's the th400 is much more budget friendly to buildQuote:
