Push the gas pedal to the floor & hold it there. Do not let off of it & crank the engine for as long as you want. It will not fire. Do this a couple of times at 15 second intervals & your good to go. That is how you prelube an LS engine after you complete the assembly.

lol, this is how I prime my engines..... use good assmebly lube.... and start that biatch.... lol... Ive done the prime before, and just started them w/o doing it. Oil pressure comes up in the same amount of time either way. just what ever you want. my .02

Finally tried prelubing my engine. Poured oil over rockers, filled oil filter, cranked 20 seconds a few times. No oil pressure at the dash gauge. My grounds are good. The 95 manual mentions that its got to have 1000rpm to get at least 6lbs pressure. What to do???

Need to buy a gas tank and a few other things before I can start it. Got a mechanical oil pressure gauge from harbor freight, now the fitting 3/8"-18NPT that comes with the kit, is too big for the hole. Even if I get the right fitting, have a feeling it still won't show pressure.
