Cool.............
Buy my 93 engine and transmission so I can start on my LS1 conversion. 30k on the rebuilt engine, new cam and lifters 300 miles ago, flat top pistons, 1.6 roller rockers and hardened pushrods, good transmission. Engine is tight as a drum and get 16 mpg. Trade me PCMs or chips and you can have the hypercrap tune with it. The engine is great but I miss the LS1 HP. I'd probably want to keep the wiring harness since it's a bastard to take it all apart. :thumb:
did you find your stolen truck??
Nope, starting over again. Found a decent 93 to start all over again. I like the early interiors, square not rounded. Picked this one up for a decent price. I've already yanked all the chrome and body side moulding off. I also removed the big CHEVROLET sign off the tailgate. 98 model electric mirrors come tomorrow. Now I need a wiring harness for the mirrors and a mirror control switch.
cool....that still sucks a big one thou not finding your ride...
want mpg, put a 4.3 a 5 speed and taller gears on it
I actually got less MPG with the 4.3L V6/5 speed in my 92 C1500 than when I get with the 93 5.7L engine with 4L60.
Yeah, the v6's tend to be geared lower, which makes em work harder, which burns more gas in a full size truckQuote:

Mine came equipped with 3.08s. I switched to an Auburn posi and 4.10s. It's getting close to time to do that again my my 93.
