its very simple and easy when you remove the upper rad support then remove the rad and ac condensor along with grille doing it this way. allows for less of a angle when installing the setup. You wont need the hood in the service position either. Every motor swap ive done in the GMT800 trucks ive done this way and every time was done alone

I will def keep these things in mind IF i ever have to do this again. One of the things that held me up a little was the fact that I removed the engine mounts from the frame. Driver side kept getting held up on the steering shaft. Removed it and seperated the motor mounts. attached the fram/lower mounts again and engine slid into place. Adjusted the angle of the trans mulitple times to get the dowels in the right place. Once they mated it was easy.
