Mines got the 4L65E and has 86K on it, I bought it from an old man that bought it new 6 months ago with 81K and he gave me every service record he had and everything has been serviced and maintained to the max, the trans was flushed and serviced several times, the dude paid like $400 or so just for a transmission service but he let the dealer do everything but I know its just a roll of the dice on how long it'll last but I'm gonna do as much preventative stuff to keep it rolling as long as possible but I gotta get some more power so I see a tune and some longtubes really soon and ill make a cool intake and then put a cam in after that. Thanks guys. I'd love to put a stall in it to get it moving a little faster but I honestly feel like that's a surefire way to toast this transmission because I know how I drive!
Ian is right, just have the money ready, my first 60e had a shift kit, vette servo and a 3600 stall, I was making 341 rwhp plus a 200 shot and mine lasted almost a year, and believe me it'd be hard pressed to abuse a vehicle more than I do, that being said when it finally went the trans was welded together internally, it even tried to go forward in park. Get the stall and mods you want just be prepared to get a built trans, if you wanna play ya gotta pay :thumb:
