If youre looking for bullet proof youre really not gonna find it with a 60e. Yes there are a FEW big HP trucks running a 60e, but there are stock trucks that destroy a "built" 60e.Quote:

Cost is a huge issue with me as well. I don't think I will be doing anything radical enough with the 60e to warrant worrying about it after a rebuild, especially if I'm replacing the sun shell, increasing the steel/friction disk count, changing servos, and getting a good tune for it. I would like to up the power output (don't we all), but it would be nothing past 400rwhp I wouldn't think. I am just wanting a little piece of mind with the transmission. I believe this would work out okay for me, but want to make sure before I put the chunk of money down. I really don't want to go through the hassle or expense of putting an 80e in if I don't need to (with the understanding if I blow the 60e I will have wasted a bunch of money and time in the first place). I appreciate the input and will definitely keep it under advisement.Quote:

Maybe find a local shop that will build a strong trans with upgrades and offer a lifetime trans. Sounds corny but the 60's just don't last like BBSS(bangbangskeetskeet) said.
I talked my neighbor into doing this with his heavily modded cummins 1ton. he broke it they fixed for free no questions asked. At least it's another option to think about.

LOL! This site is kind of funny ... after doing a "whois" search on it, it appears it belongs to Monster Transmissions. They are working their PR angle :D
Most of the stuff I can find on them appears to be 10 months or older. It appears a few years back (~2008), they were well like throughout the community with very few complaints. Then somewhere towards 2009-2010, they had a lot of issues. I don't know about recently, but it appears they have been trying harder to not get beat up so bad by people like us.
What is the bottom line here? I don't really know what to think. I think most of the complaints were with trannies they have built and sent to customers. I haven't seen too much on the kits, but what I did find shows the customer to be pretty happy with them. This is basically anecdotal, though. Not a lot of feedback either way. I mean, from what I can find, there was about as much good comments as there was bad (discounting Monster's feedback blog). Everything on there was positive, so I don't believe a lick of it. The BBB has 15 complaints. It looks like all but three of them were made good on. If you guys find something different, let me know.
