Another possibility is that when you overfilled you soaked the giant o-ring that seals your fuel pump assembly to the tank and now the o-ring was attacked by the gas and now its leaking vapors out of the tank. I rolled the replacement o-ring on my truck and it stunk in the cab!
I think I might have the problem. I don't recirculate the blow off, I dump it over the drivers side fender and it was pointed towards the firewall. I changed it to dump in front of the battery, keep you posted. I did it this morning so I would like to drive it for a couple of days to be sure. An obvious over sight - I hope.

Smell is not as bad but still there. The smell from the blow while running is exactly what I smell in the cab (gas vapor type odor).
