they came in some of the 4wd extcab 05-07 classic trucks. it's the L33, B vin. which btw, gm doesn't give out any darn help when trying to flash one of those vins to a new pcm.
call and they say it's a bad vin, hahah, vci number, forget it!!! ok, just my little rant about them.
they came in a lot of the 07+ trucks.
oh ya, 04 ssr had an aluminum 5.3L also.
yeah youre right its off an 04 ssr it was in a hurricane and submerged in about 15 ft of water lol one of the sleeves has pitting but nothing a .030 bore cant fix :) now i have to find out what the max bore on these engines are.Quote:

haven't really paid attention to see if the 4.8L is alumin, think it's still iron, not sure though.
