I know, I was making fun of frenchy. The bed only weighs ~250 lbs if even that much.
I lift 250lbs out of my pants every time I piss. It only needs to slide ~ 1.5-2ft back at the most.
When I did mine we picked it up enough to go over the tires and rested te rear on some towels on the ground. Obviously not the most ideal, but it was there for all of 45 minutes. And then picked it back up and set it down and I got underneath and lined up 2 corners to help ensure everything was aligned properly.

+1 on the engine hoist. Just rig the four corners of the bed w/ tie downs/ratchet straps and pull tension until the bed lifts evenly - then slide back on the rear tires. I did this when changing my fuel pump on my lifted 93'.
You can pull the rear wheels and tires and slide the bed back and set the rear part of the bed on a saw horse like stated.
