Unless you are planning for budget build or some form of forced induction the ls6 cam isn't going to wake it up a whole lot. To replace the lifters you will need to pull the heads. Also if u have brand new lifters word is chevy dealerships have went to ls7 lifters only which have deeper seats. So make sure the pushrods are the right length. At least the swap over is what the chevy guys at the one in town said... May just be here
