that sucks man
sorry to see that man, hope you can get around, and ruining in no time !
and, those rods are stock GM, maybe a good GM set, but GM.
well i def think thats what these are and it really pisses me off cause hes a pretty reputable engine builder and when i had him build it for a turbo motor and i told him i was trying to make 750 to the wheels on that setup. i am really glad i didnt touch that.
that motor made 384 N/A and i had been spraying a 250 shot on it and i guess that was just to much for those junky rods:ummm:
have you contacted the builder yet?
Damn Trey...same guy did this one too?
Crap man, so sorry to hear/see that!
^^ lol not the first time I've seen that
damm Trey luckily you did Not loose controll of the truck with all that oil it could have gotten a lot uglier fast.
Who's rodds were they? 250 shot, did the rod stay on the crank and together?
Hahahahahaha no brad I rebuilt it but when Tommy built it origanaly I told him how much power I was planing on making and I thought he said he put H beams in but when I rebuilt it an saw I beams I figured they were at least forged but I'm thinking not.
And yeah Rick I was able to keep it under control but the FJ crusier that was behind me was a little pissed :) cause it def covered them in oil and I'm not really sure what kind of rods they are cause there's no markings on them. Yes the journal part was still on the crank and was spinning pretty freely and part of the rod was still on the piston but there is a piece of the rod missing
