Ok, the Hotchkis 2/4 has arrived... :jump:
Got it on sale from Tbyrne for a GREAT price...and I do mean "great." (Did I mention it was a great price? :lol: )
The employee I talked to was very informative, polite and courteous.
Since Hotchkis is located in Southern California, I asked if I could just pick it up here and not pay the $$$$ to have it shipped from MD(leaf springs are HEAVY).
They said fine but I would have to pay Cali state tax($30 tax or $100+ in shipping costs...hm...lemme think :duh: ).
Anyway, I will be picking them up this Tuesday.
I need recommendations on shocks. I believe Hotchkis recommends the Edelbrock IAS shocks which go for $70 a piece.
OR...the adjustable HALs look nice, but at $140 a pop, I'm leaning towards the Edelbrocks....will those HALs be THAT much of a difference? I mean sheesh, those shocks alone cost more than the 2/4 drop :thumbdown:

i'll always buy the bilstiens until i get serious, then maybe the hals, the b's just perform awesome for a 50$ shock,

How hard is the install? I would imagine the front being pretty easy, but the leaf springs?
Also, I have the Belltech shackles in the back at 2" drop. I need to put the stockers back in huh...or the frame will hit the axle?
Should I leave the Belltech shackle on the passenger side and set it to 1" so the chevy lean isn't so apparent? Would that work?

The back was not that hard. Need to move the gas tank so make sure you do not have much gas in there. The bolt on the front of that leaf spring was the hardest to get to as far as lowering.The hard part I had was installing the sway bars that I order with the kit. There was no instructions on were to mount the bracket. I don't know how the kit will work with the Belltech on one side. Good luck and enjoy.
