My LQ9 popped at 12 psi.
If you aren't building it at all, I would go for a LQ4. My 2 cents.

Im taking it you dont understand the effects of compression and boost.
get the lq4 for FI and pour more boost on it and youll out last and out run a lq9 with less boost. 9.5 is high compression for a FI application. 8 to 8.5 is better depending on bottom end strength
I don't completely agree with that statement. But I am not following the herd either.
My new combo is 10.0:1 and plan on 14 psi for low boost (street), 20ish psi high (track). Of course this is a forged motor, so there is some difference. The more you compress it, the more bang you get. Some people like to run low compression & tons of boost, but the motor is a dog when out of boost.
To me, there are many, many more factors than just "running low compression with tons of boost".
mine will be a forged lq9, but It's already in the works......So i'm just curious how it'd effect me with the s/c on it, and 8-9lbs of boost.
