ok thanks. I haven't had the valve covers off yet, i was under the impression there were no bearings on the rocker fulcrums. How much lift is safe on these motors? I plan on claying the pistons, just wondered if anybody had a round-about figure.

I know that .604/.610 is ok
Not exactly lift too... depends when the valves are at max lift or how much they are open when piston reaches TDC
Stock rockers are fine for that cam. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to improve your stockers with Comp's rocker arm trunion upgrade to get rid of the issue of loose needle bearings ending up in your oil pan. I am having Spectacle Solutions (ask for Brian) install mine for me to drop in at the time of my cam upgrade (and send back my core rockers to him).
