in the end the pro´s on this site are using either hptuners or EFILive and more than half are on HPtunersthis should have been started as a poll I think haha

Ill have to look back or my friend danny who has efi and compare. I know another thing i really like about efi live for the dmax you can tune the pcm and tcm separately cus with my hpt i constantly have "tcm write fail"

Not sure how old the 2.23 version you looked at was and I haven't done any tuning on diesels, so I don't know if the 3 tables you mentioned are there yet but... The beta is updated every 1-2 weeks. So if you saw 2.23 a couple of months ago it will have a lot of updates since then.

where do you get 2.23 from? i had to request it from bill then down load it from my account on the hpt website then the download expired after a week. It was also a pain to go back to 2.22 i have no stock tune or anything my tuner and me had to basically rebuild a tune almost, big pain in the butt

you have to email support and they will put it on your account and you can download it.

ah ok, im switching anyway i want that DSP5 switch, with the SC IV my race tune will be to much for the street imo, but anywho ill find out about those table there 3 that most tuners probably dont use but you dont go fast by being normal :naughty:

Yea hp tuners is a joke on the diesel place, efi live all the way for them. Personal I use efi live, i heard efi live is a little harder to use but i really cant see why since every thing is so organized and easy to use. Its all about understanding what the table are and the values on those table to. If you mess with it for a few months youll get the hang of it, reading alot helps to.

lol i wouldent read up about tuning on diesel place that place is a joke those guys wouldent know when to change there spark plugs on there duramax's
