what about the new bostons?????????
I've got a pair of Rockford Fosgate P1 10s single 4ohm coils that I was able to move my windshield wipers with in a sealed box. They are only 150 RMS per sub, but they make some bass. You don't really need anything high end, just a very good box.
The issue with forward firing is that you will kick the cones and tear them
well as far as frount firing they make these bee cone things that go ver them i saw some kicker ones yesterday and they are about a inch and a half cone and pretty tough but would that be good enough to protect it and would that be better than a down fire box?
In my honest opinion, forward firing does not sound as good as down fire.
kk ill keep that in mind. i know i wanna keep my seat but i dont know much about box's i got a buddie that can make whatever i want. just need to figure out what is the best way to go.... thanks for the help guys anything will be considered.
You can do four 8" digital designs subs in a ported box under the rear seat:P
He may have done that a year ago when the last post was.
Also, 4 DD1508s require more room ported than he has available. He could fix 2 at the most.
I had two L7's in a forward firing box in my 01 ecsb pushed with a punch 125 and it sounded like poo compared to my buddy's one P2 in a prefab box with a 500 watt kenwood amp....
...... Also things got a little frisky on a backroad one night and that 'tough' aluminum or whatever it was cone was no match for my size 11 ariats lol get a downfire IMHO
You can fit about a 3.5 cubic foot box but I haven't looked into the 8's much to know what airspace they require.
