5.3 engine wanted

drive down airline dr or shepard and take a pik of an auto salvage . you can find them for about $500 . i bought one on friday for $300 it an 05 told him to remove coils, water pump, manifolds ,intake . all acc good luck

I wouldn't swap in a 5.3 from a 4.8. I did that, mostly cause i was in a pinch. There isn't enough of a power increase for the trouble and money.You would be better off with a Cam swap and a Stall converter. If thats not enough hit it with a little spray. Yeah and don't don anything with out getting a good tune ditch that high dollar calculator(programmer) Unless it on with a custom tune on it.

im not sure what all engine parts on my engine are compatiable with the 5.3 so what all am i looking at block,heads,intake ETC

Everything will swap over

everything will swap over, 5.3 and 4.8 are identical blocks, you can use everything off your 4.8
