How many degrees does that pinion look to you guys? I adjusted it to the point that it will need pinion shims to go any farther and I don't know what angle to buy. They have some 8* on Summit, but no locating pin in the center, I wonder what keeps it from sliding out?
djm sells the shims on their website IIRC. Im probably gonna have to get some too.
Do it correctly, cut the spring perches off and reweld in the correct orientation, buy new perches if you mess up the old ones too much. Shims are a bandaid and are dangerous if the u-bolts come loose.
I bought some shims (not DJM) and they put it at a perfect angle. I wanted to cut and weld the perches but don't have the tools right now, or a lift to do it on. But for now my wheelhop is gone and so is my driveline vibration. "Pinion angle has nothing to do with wheelhop" .... idiot.
A lot of my friends have a 4/6 with a flip kit also. Have you tried some shorter bump stops like from Energy Suspension, some Auto Zones have them in stock? That helps with wheel hop. Try that first before you go and get the pinion angle corrected it's cheaper. If not, on with the pinion angle correctionQuote:
