yeah get it right in the same area...the 317's are a 72cc head and the 243's are a 66cc i believe so that right there will bring a 9.4 up to the 10.0 of the LQ9, or at least very very close to it.Quote:

using a LQ4 you get away with a slighty dish so it has some room for PTV over teh LQ9. However you got a mill heads just to get the compression up so there goes your PTV
not like you loose a lot...he can still run a plenty big cam, specially if he's going boost on this stock motor he dont wanna go to extreme...and he wont have the PTV issueQuote:

Probably more HP than a lq4. Less than a lq9... The higher cr of the 5.7 will help it out perform a lq4 I would think. Only reason I am considering a lq4 would be to run l92 heads later on :chevy:
sounds like a deal to me. i can get the ls1 for 850 and cant find a 6.0 under 1200
