BlueL92 has a v6 truck, with a 6.2L and TH350 swap, pm him and ask him.
there are numerous options, crank spacer, longer bolts and flat flexplate, dished flexplate and spacer on the trans side of plate with longer bolts, dished plate with hughes convertor snout extension... with the dished flexplate you will need to slot the bolt holes to align with the old convertor bolt pattern or you have to drill new holes in the correct pattern. As has been reiterated, do the 80e and forego the headaches of multiple swaps and retrofits.
i understand about bolting them together was more courious on the electrical side of things
