i am holding my chin up. i think in the end it will be nice. heck yay on the dyno. i will have to show up and chain you to it first. save that one pcm for me if you can. im just frustrated right now. but i will not let her get me down to far,. as a matter a fact. i went out in the garage and told her if this happens again i was going to sell her to a little punk kid that will tear her a new ass and park her outside.

Dude, I feel your pain, been there, done that!!! Hope you get it fixed soon. From one Lance to another, when the going gets tough go find you a tough/tight piece of ass and tear it up bro!!! That always helped me out in the past. LOL

well maybe the luck is turning some. i have found that the planets in my tranny are the hardened ones. thus making a slight noise when in first gear. on the verter i have talked to several people and they all think that the way i have it shimmed it will work fine. as for the restall. i am going to just drive it for now. i have two years to have it restalled. ill wait till summer and if i want to i will redo it then. as for the noise joe said to run it and if it gets louder we will fix it then.

My 80-E has a slight whine to it in first gear. I have heard this is normal on the 80-E's. I dont have the flywheel dust cover on the it and im sure that is also why i can hear it. Hopefully everything will work out. I have had my trans in/out of my truck 6 times. It is well worth it. Like everyone else said, worth it in the end. Smoooooth sailing after.

Merry Christmas everyone
