my phone will double post for me lol
anyway how long has he owned the truck? he should take it back to the dealer under the lemon law..im not too sure of it but i know id be extre ely mad if i bought a poo truck.
It's doubtful the dealer is even aware of the issue. Most dealers do little more than steam-clean the engine, vacuum the interior, and put that nasty black stuff on the tires before putting a used vehicle on the lot.
WELL....Throttle Position Sensor....no communication on channels A and B is what my friend is telling me the codes are....hmmm....HOPEFULLY that fixes it....and now we can rip out all of that wiring for the alarm and rewire this friggin sterio so that it WORKS, and isnt a HACK JOB! THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S HELP!!!
You know I have the hookup on GM Parts.
If you need some help troubleshooting the DBW system just let me know.
THANKS Craig....the throttle body got cleaned and the truck runs like a champ now! AMAZING....AND CHEAP! HA HA! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP! The truck runs and has the radio rewired correctly.....now we just have to putt out the alarm crap....ugh...I HATE when a dealership just cuts the power to an alarm system and just leaves EVERYTHING in there! They didnt even give the kid TWO keys! He got ONE key....and no alarm fob/keychain thing.....
Clean the throttle blade.
I see you guys are talking about the dbw system, hopefully someone will have some insight for me. I had posted on another page but either wasnt clear or just put it in wrong forum. My truck is an 03 caddy 5.3 and my problem is the accelorator pedal position sensor is bad. when the truck goes into reduced engine power mode i can shut it off, wiggle the plug on the sensor, and be on my way. My pedals are power adjustable and dealer-only to the tune of 280.00 bucks because it replaces entire assembly. Does anyone know of an aftermarket supplier or is there a part number for the sensor specifically, not with pedal, power motor, ect.
The wires or connectors have something going on. Maybe they have been kicked/something hit them? I know its a PITA, but can you disconnect the wires and check the condition of the pins in the connector? Or can you use some Southern Engineering skills and use a zip tie to hold the wires in a certain position where this won't happen?
