I did mine in under 6 by myself in the driveway. I never raised rear bumper, and already have E-fans, so that made it lot easier.

Yup, Summit body lift just re-branded PA parts, but at a better price. Should be easy to do yourself just take your time and use a friend to help.
I got my PA body lift off a buddies truck he was trading in. My parts off mine and onto his truck, and his parts off his and onto mine, took us just over 8 hours....
Ive got some Jeep friends that swear by hockey pucks (yes hockey pucks ) and longer hardware for just a body lift. Ithink my cousin paid a total of less than $50
What size wheel? 8'' wide with 35's is good to go, 10'' wide wheel is no good.
Hockey pucks WORK...but stacking 3 on them/drilling is A PAIN. Plus it doesn't come with bumper brackets/steering extension...that's what you're really paying for.
You can buy just the blocks for like $8 a piece, so would be about 100 for everything, but good luck turning/ fabbing up the bumpers.
Hockey pucks are good for 2" lift OR stacking 1 ontop of 3" blocks :)
yeah no kidding and thats what is pissing me off. on there site for the 6 inch lift it says recommended tire size is 35x12.5. so i went and bought exactly that. and of course no workie. pricks. i called them and asked wtf and there answer was, well we are having a sale on body lifts. :argg:
i cleared 35's no problem with my skyjacker and/or superlifts on my 99 and 05. I bet its that design where they don't lower the torsion bars huh?
This should help out a little. Its an article from Petersen's 4 Wheel and Off-road. I have the actual magazine too :D

How bad is it? Maybe just run some Ford Keys on the T-Bars. Hopefully it doesn't give you that retarded Cali Lean.
But like shifty said, 1''; Just use some good ole hockey pucks eh.
Raising bumpers 1 inch won't be that hard. Plus the steering shaft will have more than enough play and strength. E-Brake cable should be ok as well as the cab grounds. If not just lengthen those. Then if mechanical fan, just shave off the bottom of the shroud or use some metal from Lowes/HomeDepot and make some drop brackets.
And I would NOT consider it ''Ghetto'' lol, might do it myself to get the 38's under. Plus I might scrap the leaf spring front end and go 4-link now. And i haven't even driven it as is yet!!!
