Did you find that broken chunk? How long were they installed for?
Fortunatley I found the broken piece. It was a clean break so there were no metal shards that might have found their way into vital engine componenets. I installed them in February and they broke last week.
i bought some Stainless Shaft rockers from Shanon's Engineering on ebay, they are 1.75:1 ratio, reduced weight, and super strong, i've had mine on almost two years without even a tick from them
are you gonna get one new one or replace them with something else?
Gonna get the warranty on the Scorpions and go with these instead.

Im suprised youre not going with full rollers. Not necessary tho. Those oem style rockers seem to be a solid design, plus youve got the beneficial upgrade to those roller bearings
The OEM style rockers ARE a solid design and they're steel. All of the full rollers I have seen are aluminum. Plus the only roller rockers I've found that will fit under factory valve covers are the Scorpions and based on my experience, they are junk. If I could find a set of full rollers that are RELIABLE and WILL fit under factory valve covers, I would not hesitate for a second to use them.
for the price, I like what youre goin after from Summit
The comp cams pro magnums #1375-16 are full roller, stainless, and only $400.
So I finally got the warranty on the rockers underway and made an interesting discovery. The guy I talked to at Scorpion said that I had a "weak" batch of rockers. The rockers I was using were not quite strong enough for my application. I bought and installed them back in February and Scorpion started making stronger arms a few months later - strong enough to withstand 400lbs open spring pressure. A big part of the arm failing was the patriot dual gold valve springs I run - 375lbs open spring pressure. Either way, the rockers are under warranty even though part of it was my fault . Bottom line, Scorpion's FORMER configuration was not quite strong enough, but the new ones are.
