It wouldn't work. Mdf is still too porous to seal any kind of gas. Although a sealed box is "sealed" there is a way for it to "breathe" if you will. Even of you could seal the n2 in, it probably wouldn't have any affect. Doesn't hurt to think though.

i can build a super rigid aluminum box with struts inside to stiffen it, and i can tig weld it and make it hold a vaccum for 24hrs, wouldn't be hard to build a sub box like that
