The medical field has come a long way in all types of research and treatment for almost everything. Just be sure to have a positive mental attitude.
Prayers for your mom and family
Hey man, I know what youre going through, when I was told my dad had cancer i just broke down, but 2 years later, 2 kemo treatments and 2 radiation treatments later he beat it. Keep your head up and take your mom out for dinner and a movie or something. Stay stong, Shes in our prayers.
Im very sorry to hear this,i just lost my mom to cancer 2 weeks ago ,She had a different type but they all suck i guess .lots of people beat it ,my mom nor dad did tho [unfortunately].tell her to keep her head up ,think positive and keep pushing.Positive attitude and also during and after the kemo she gonna want and need alot of attention and affection ,i guess that crap does something to them to make em an emotional wreck.my mom would calll me to bring her a qtip just to see me,lol.thats 20 miles.but the way i looked at it was she took care of 8 kids and it was time to reverse rollplay and take care of her.I loved her dearly .Im sorry but i didnt get to talk much about when it happened .keep youre head up too ,its just as hard on you .take care of youre mom ,she deserves it.
Thank you guys for sharing your own experiences. It really does give me the confidence that the days will become brighter, again. I read some of the comments from this thread to her and it made her cry with tears of hope, so thank you again......
Sorry to hear about your mom. Tell her to stay strong and fight it.
Like Ramsey said--its all about role reversal now. She devoted a lot to raise and take care of you--now it is your turn to return a favor that is almost irreplaceable. At this time, you can NEVER spend enough time with her. High hopes and prayers for your mother. :thumb:
Just a little update on an old topic. My mother underwent surgery for a full hysterectomy on the day before my birthday back in February. Well, to make a long story short, she crushed it. The cancer is gone (for now, of course) and she has been back to work for about two weeks. Thank you all for giving me the right advice to stay positive and to keep her spirits high. You don't know how much it meant to me
Chris
