Just swap in a entire motor/tranny/t-case set up. If you run a manual NP 241 or electronic NP 246 you will have a drivers side front drop. Which is what you have. Then you will have a VSS from the t-case to run the PCM but maintain your rear axle sensor to operate your speedo.

sounds good i am still looking into it. I am getting alot of grief over the whole chevy in a ford thing from my wife's brother but the simple truth is that a Chevy engine and tranny are bulletproof and they get Great Gas Mileage. Her brother even tried to sell me a 351w to replace the 302 with but i know from personal experience that a 351w is a GAS HOG.
I think the 60e is a good trans, it has a place in the lineup but it doesn't belong in performance trucks and tow vehicles, at least in my opinion. With that and 75 cents you can make a phone call.
How much do you guys think a complete engine tranny and T case with the wiring harness and PCM would cost at a junkyard?
depends on year, mileage, engine size, condition and location. Anywhere from $1000-$3000
