sure its not a broken exhaust manifold bolt?
My 5.3 was tuned with 91 no ethanol. Sometimes if I get gas with higher amounts of ethanol (the sticker says up to 10%), it knocks VERY little. I just drive it very conservatively if this happens and fill it up with no eth as soon as it gets down to half a tank or so.
E85 is higher octane and less BTU so it takes more fuel volume for the same power level....this is why E85 gets worse MPG and requires tuning tweaks to get more out of than all gas as well as why it will cause clatter when used with an agressive all gas tune.
Can you get a tune for 93 oct +10% or E85, or are all tunes currently restricted to gas only? I ask mainly because here in DC, everything is pretty much E85
No mailorder tune tho? Hmm, I was gonna place an order to Allen next month, and Im not too sure of the local tuners up here
Talk to whoever is doing your tune. I would hope if they can tune a vehicle for premium that they can tune it for ethanol content also.
Yeah, Im sure the local tuners can do it, but I was just trying to be a good site member and support Nelson. Mail order tune, yes or no?
