tbss you never did really answer my question what would be the main oilng concern?
Any LS motor with a stroke of 4.100 or bigger is going to have oiling issues... every LS motor for that matter does (couple of exceptions but those blocks are 2grand or more). High pressure/volume oil pumps are just band-aids. Do you know the messurements of the bore top to bottom on a 5.3? The bottom of the shirt on the piston will be out of the bore a long way at BDC and like it was stated by others also... there's alot of stress on everything with the angles that would be going on in that setup and you might be adding boost to this as well? If you want an all out racer that will last one season(maybe) then have to be gone thru once or twice a year, then dare to be differant. I say go with what is proven but it's your money, time and heartache... I've been to the school of hard knocks, trust me.
