Yes, you can use 42's on a bone stock truck if you wanted too as long as your pcm is tuned for them.

I put in some direct swap 60lb injectors in my 408 Silverado and have been running it that way for about a year with no problems. My IDC(injector duty cycle) is only at about 35% since I have not installed the turbo yet.
