an Idiot at work fell for this, i even told him its a scam. he said no no its not..

He had a tv on craigs list, and got this check in the mail with out a notice or even a reply. it was for like 1k over what he was asking. the guy replied in a letter to just keep it for the hassle. i told him don't send the tv an trash the check, he trys to cash the check like an idiot. luckly he didn't send the tv.

I say do it Zach! Just give your ID to someone that looks like you. Have them go cash the check and see if the cops swarm him... :lol:

This is extremely common on craigslist. I would hope everyone would be smart enough to never ship something in such a manner. However, even good people still fall for these.

You have to use common sense with things like this. Why would someone with so much extra cash to throw around be dealing on craigslist?

It's upsetting to see people get scammed because they immediately light up at the thought of "extra money"

i never got a response back,,yea sux people get burned all the time,,im hoping to make a buy on pt.net on a 6.0,,hope for the best.

LOL, i still got my fake check for 12 Grand. Think i might frame it. Its kinda fun to play along with these losers for a lil bit. I hope they all burn in ....

Happens to me all of the time. I have even recieved pictures of millions of dollars that will be sent to me for helping them... I cant believe people have even fallen for that crap.
