The best way to fix a problem is buy and install the part named in the code.
:tvhaha:
I had just bought the truck so I was going to do the plugs and seafoam anyway. I changed a rear 02 and still have the 02 codes. I pulled the convertors and could see right through them, no clogging. Would a vacuum leak cause the 0137 and 0157?
No but you shouldn't be able to see through the cats. The cats aren't causing the codes and neither is a vacuum leak but a vacuum leak can cause the condition and the cats can cause other codes. Jive?
I have read that the earlier V8s were bad about intake leaks. It makes sense that it runs worse when cold and low RPMs. I guess it is possible to give those codes for that... at least that what the Autozone computer says. I'll check later with some starter fluid or carb spray or something.
