I know I can use both but I just want to make it level side to side closer then the 1 3/4 inch that I have now. hard to blame it on a empty gas tank
I cant remember who it was, but I only know of a few members that corrected the chevy lean
I know theres going to be a little bit. before the drop the passenger side was 1/2 taller. now 1 3/4 inch? seems to me the driver side went down alot more then the passenger. like an 1 1/4 inch lower.
i always figured it was because of the shock placement, one in front and one in back of the axle. with the shock on the back it will settle easier when the shock is going in the same direction as the relief direction of the hanger vs. the no give to the front permanent mount.
ALL the chevy trucks lean...There is alot of extra weight on the Drivers side. Gearbox, steering column, gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, abs unit, wiring, all this stuff adds up and the exhaust on the pass side doesn't offset it very well. Welcome to the world of the notorious lean..
never noticed it before but now that you all mentioned it it will drive me crazy from now on when i look at my truck.
yeah i realize they lean. I played with it and got it 1 1/2 higher on the passenger then driver instead of 1 3/4. I know how to level the front side to side but not the back. best for the front is two different size coils inch in difference clears that up. the rear from the factory depending on the fuel weight is about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. if you see the measurements before and after the passenger side didn't come down as much which I'm going to blame on the 2 inch "lowering shackles" it didn't lower it 2 inchs
I was able to drop my '85 5/7 and get it level from side to side. if the shackles truely lower it 2 inchs on both sides, it wouldnt be noticeable before or after. because its not noticeable before you put them on because its not as far off from level. I'm goin to switch them and see if I get the same heights. and try different brands.
any other ideas guys. I know the driver side is going to be lower. But I know all you guys didn't slam your trucks and the passenger side be almost 2 inches taller? it looks crazy.
