Hehhehe...I could tell ya...low (or no) oil pressure???????? :D
i can make it have low oil pressure. :D
Justin, see, i'd be more scared of a salvaged motor I have no clue, unless it's an 08 longblock with 20,000 miles :D
Plus, if I 'had' too, I'd like a 5.3 (at least) over the 4.8, even if I paid the difference...
If an engine goes under warranty it will be sent away and gone over with a fine tooth comb, when I was at Ford they did everything they could to not pay up. Hopefully GM is different.
Well, we sure know how to sabotage one if need be.
LOL...true that....yea, they love the purchase, but then hate to warranty it....this speaks for all of them.
Drove a new 2009 U-Haul this last weekend, with 22,000 miles...was impressed with the way the big thing ran...drove great, pulled strong, I thought this thing must have the 5.3....nope, newer 4.8...I was shocked...
wow they put 4.8s in u-hauls i never payed any atn to them i would of expected a 6.0
My sisters 07 has the 4.8 in it and I drove the piss out of it. Of course, with my heavy foot I was getting 15 MPG too. They do run good though.
When I owned it I ran an 08 5.3 2wd vs my 4.8 4x4 and was only a truck back.
I work at one. Most extended warr. comp. will not cover a motor for cold start. That is concered nornal condition. Do what you want to make it "loose oil pressure to spin a cam bearing". then tell you advisor you want to buy the core back. It will be $300 dallars. All motor are $300 except for duramax. And since your not in 3/36 warr gm will not call the motor back. I buy all LS based motor that are done here all for 300 a pop. I have a running LS2 with a lower know in my garage for 300. Going to bulid it for my truck.
thats nice haha
