How does a bad pan gasket cause no oil pressure?

thats what i want to know^^^
that will do it every time.
Oil filter is in the pan. So oil pressure goues from the pump on the front of the motor through the block then through one of those little holes in the gasket into the side of the pan. There it either goes through the filter or through a bypass then back up through the other little hole. If that part of the gasket is missing oil will just escape through there back into the pan.
