My temps says lower than what I would like. Rarely getting up to 180 o. In winter I cover the cooler with aluminum foil and cardboard and the temp gets up to about 130 o. This is driving around town. I have it hooked up to the engine radiator like you are supposed to.

Your in North Dakota....we are in kansas. We may not have the problem of temps like you had.
I'm wondering if just going with the bypass wouldn't be the safer route. It's only like $30 difference. Just trying to learn the pros and cons of it I guess. Never dealt with tranny coolers before so thanks for all the input guys.
So the final questions is....do I need a 40k or just go with a smaller one like a 28k? :)
Bigger is better but I just have a 30k with a 10 inch fan mounted to it. That would be plenty. I got a deeper derale pan with the cooling fins and I dont hardly use my fan anymore.Quote:
