Yea GasGuzzler
yeh i ve been kinda waiting to see wat he has to say
There is no idle relearn for that. Most likely it needs the TB bore and blade cleaned and the PCM program updated for stall or low idle. Common on normal mileage 03-06 DBW trucks.
Ooops.....or something else? :ugh2:
Lots of other stuff to check too but not related to battery.
thyan y does it only happen when the battery goes dead ,everytime, takes a week to relearn.i know theyre isnt a relearn cus we installed it on our diag equiptment.thats y i cant figure this out ,it does it everytime the battery dies.
Not sure.
well ,dont ask me why but cleaning the MAF and throttle body and blade ,worked .idk what it had to do with the battery dying but wth ,it worked.wow.
Glad to hear you got it worked out, Ramsey.
Before your battery had died, the pcm had "adapted" to running and idling correctly with the dirty MAF and throttle body. Basically, as everything gradually got dirtied up over a long period of time, the pcm was able to gradually make the slight adjustments along the way to keep everything running smoothly.
Then, your battery died. All of those "adaptations" that the pcm was using are now gone. It has to start all over again. If everything was nice & clean & happy, then everything would have been normal, and you would not notice anything different. But you had skewed MAF readings and a dirty throttle body, and it would probably take several days to relearn, as you already explained. :)
