my buddy has the 325/50/15 dr's on a fairmont
go with the hoosiers!
Blue Cajun.
Them are the exact rims I have to put them on. Is this what you run? If you can pull the times you do whatever it is has got to work. haha.
I will look closely at the DRs but the MTs I borrowed i still caught second. I may not have warmed them up enough though... Or I have a pinion angle problem or something ( i heard that can make you spin easier)
your pinion angle will make a difference in traction. and also a radial slick will pick up a tenth over a bias, it is proven, i have ran both on my chevelle.
inproperly setup suspension will spin a proper tire. an over "Tire'd" setup will help some but isnt the answer. its like putting a bandaid on a cut that needs stitches.
majority of ppl complain about traction issues. most dont have a properly setup suspension, most dont know how to "drive" their vehicle. most dont know how to setup their vehicle.
those were some 28x11.5 et streets in my avatar (1.73 60')
now i'm running some 15x8 wheels w/ a 28x10 hoosier (1.57 60')
drag radial blah blah this is in a TRUCK not a car, but i do agree on suspension setup is the key.
need to get me some more rims so i can try out m/t's 315 d/r.
ok quik u are mr know it all.
1.4 what? makes a difference. he has qa1's all around, caltracs, and no overload. doesn't sound like no traction devices to me?
Serious off topic statement. How bout I try slicks out for a few runs just to see what it does. Worse thing is I get a tire I get rid of within a month ya know? Lance has done it in the exact style truck as mine. So I my as well give his way a shot first then try yours quik. We can see which one of you is right with mine. Be a fun way for me to solve it! haha. But the question I have is how Do I know how to set up my suspension and is there easy way to check my pinion angle? I was thinkin of taking to toxics off and run like a 50/50 shock on back with IF I CAN FIND one a 70/30 or so on front.
