Why not keep the LS1 an LS1? Do you not have the accessories and whatnot for it?
I would not put LS1 parts on the 5.3L.
1-10 (depending on your experience turning wrenches), I would give it a 6.
Yeah, Jason is LQ4 S/C--with A LOT of mods. You are kinda close to him--you gotta see his truck!

Most of all of it will be plug and play. You have the intake, A/C, PS, Alt, etc?

I don't have the A/C but can get it,but I have the rest

Well, I guess thats ok. I wouldn't wanna take the A/C off the Tahoe when you do the swap. It should be pretty easy and straight forward...
