They made Max's in both bodies. I think the 07+ is the only one with 367. The Classic has a N motor with 345....I think. Sorry for the confusion I caused.
I want to get rid of the tank in the cab, and put one under the bed.
I was just thinking using the tank from whatever the engine trans comes from would make it easier/cheaper than buying a custom tank with baffles and built in pump.
There is a kit for my truck that uses a 1970's Blazer tank that mounts under the bed, behind the rear end, I guess I could use that and a inline pump.
I was reading you really need a tank with baffles, and the in tank pumps are more reliable than in line pumps.
Does anyone have a picture of a fuel tank from a Silverado/Sierra, or even Express van?
I'm curious if one of those would fit somewhere under the bed of my shortbed truck.
Here's what I used 98-02 Camaro tank and pump,Tahoe fuel door.

You have to cut about an inch from both sides of the frame underneath.
And,cut a hole in the frame for the fill hose.

I also made some hangers and used the camaro tank straps to mount it with.
