Thanks guys, r6z4o6 I'm not sure if it does or not. I did run in to a problem with the new motor, I don't know what this black plug is on the top back of the valley pan? On the old motor it was the cam sensor. I got the new 24 tooth to 58 tooth adapter for lingenfelter and the knock sensor adapter but they but the wrong one in the bag, it's the same one as the old stock one. I'm almost done putting it all back together, maybe another three hours tomorrow. Rod

I'm thinking thats the switch to kill the 4 cylinders on a DOD engine. I'm not 100% sure but I think you need to toss that cover and get an LS2 cover plus pull the heads and swap the DOD lifters for standard lifters and pushrods if they're different/shorter. I haven't done a dumbing down of a DOD engine before but thats the long and short of it.
RedHeartbeat, thanks for the reply. I hope it will run the way it is, cause it's in already. I think I messed up on the knock sensors I left the new ones on the motor and after doing a little research I think I should have drilled out the new motor and taped it for the old sensors. The oil pressure sending unit just does fit under the old intake. It's all buttoned up except the thermostat housing I had to order and the closest one is in Alabama. I can honestly say this is one of the tuffest motor remove & install I've ever done. Now I just hope it runs!!!!!!:smash:
Well I couldn't stand it. I started it up today and let it run for about 1/2 a min. with out any water. Just to make sure it would run and it sounds right.:hyper2:
