i think the LQ9 is DBW and the LQ4 is cable throttle, actually i guess it depends what year the engine is. good luck with the swap!
My stock LQ4 is DBW. It all depends on year and option content.
a motor doesnt matter what throttle body preference it has. a TB is not part of a long block thus not a concern when purchasing a motorQuote:

he wanted to know some differences betwwen the LQ9 and LQ4 and when i was buying my lq9 it came with the throttle body, gas pedal and TAC module so it may have been a concern when purchasing. But since he has a newer truck i guess its a simpler swapQuote:
