If you had unlimited cash I's say a Solstice or a Sky. Try to find a 90's Tacoma. That'd be a little different.

Build it into a motorcycle. That would be cool.
yah, ive went way past my intended budget on my s10, i wanted to try something different. like lets see how little i can spend and still go fast with good gas milage. the chevette thing did pass my mind, but theyre so ugly. the tacoma thing would be neet, i was thinking as i walked around the junkyard today an older bmw 535i. i just dont know how heavy they are. or a nissan hard body. i doubt i could find one cheap, but a nissan s14. now that would be cool. my ultimate goal is 10's in the 1/4 under 5g's. ive seen an 04 gto with a twin turbo setup and a tune go really low 11's high 10's (stock motor/t56) thats a 4000 lbs car. same setup 2500-3000 lbs. 10s are possible. just gotta find something light.
ugly chevette = sleeper i went to school with a guy that had a semi built 4.3 in it man that thing went like a raped ape
any vehicle that originally didnt have a v8, yet rumbles with the heart of eight cylinders, will never be a sleeper...unless of course you never start it....or your audience is complete idiots. :D
the ls1 civic has been built. it doesnt run all that well either
are you talking about the civette? that is essentally a c5 corvette under a civic. if i were to do it it would have a solid axle rear end with a triangulated 4 link. the engine/tranny would be where it supposed to be, not halfway under the windshield and dash. all that car is, is a corvette with a narrower wheelbase. gotta give the guy props though. getting low 12's for around $2000 and be able to get in it and drive anywhere. c5's have horrible traction issues anyways and i see no difference in the civette. but imangine being at a local car gathering and this unassuming black civic coupe pulls up, with a cammed and probably turbo'ed ls1 lurking under the hood. that would be cool.
:dancenana: idk, back when i was running stock wheels and had a bed cover over the fuel cell and battery. i had 3" 40 series flowmasters dueled. poeple would be looking around to see where the sound was coming from. now if i drove right by them it was obvious. but for the most part my truck didnt get that much attention, till i started hazing the tires from a 70 mph role and was walking away from whoever i was racing (usually cobras).
