so im wanting to throw in a 4l65e in place of the 4l60e but the output shaft is longer on the 2wd 4l60e.. so would the shaft fit in the 4l65e?? it came out of a 4wd escalade with under 5k miles on it and i would like to throw that behind the 6.0.. any advice or help would be amazing!

No, the 4WD does not have a tail housing, it has an adapter to the transfer case and a short output shaft, the 2WD has a tail housing and a longer output shaft. Unless you wanna disassemble both trannys, it won't work for ya...sorry!Quote:
