and would i have to go to the tuners once i replace it.
nope, it should still be the same as before, if its a bad sensor.
I just data log, I got a mis fire but couldn't tell me what cylinders.
Deff. Try the relearn before you replace the sensor. Where do you live?

1000 miles is not out of the question IF you have P0315. P0315 indicates the need for a CKP relearn or CASE learn as some call it. If there is another code, you need to use service information and diagnostics to find the source of the problem. In the case of a sensor DTC, usually the wiring is checked and the sensor itself is the culprit. Anytime the CKP sensor, the reluctor, the crankshaft, the PCM, or the engine is replaced, a CASE learn is needed.
Well i changed the sensor today and im still getting the code likegasguzzler said PO315 . And yes i did try to clear it, now im prob going to have to go back to my tuner and see if he can fix it. Now what could be bad things if i dont get this relearning done. And is the reason im got this code is because my tuner never did it in the first place.
He shouldn't charge you anything to do it since it takes just a couple minutes to do and since he didn't do it after the tune. I don't think it hurts anything but its a point against you when it comes to inspection time, 1 error code of 3 allowable in most emissions counties. Just get it set and be done with it. :thumb:
Well thank God I dont have emission testing in my state.
