You definitely need at least 3.73's or even 4.10's. That with a stall will get you there in a hurry! 3.42's suck off the line...ask me how I know!!
Hey,
Allen has me shifting at 6300 for my 1-2 then 6200 for 2-3. I only have a CS on the tranny, thats it. Im suprised i havent destroyed it....
Well i didnt really want to get a Torque Converter until i could afford a FLT and a Torque Converter because i didnt want to have go in there twice. Would gears do good for me compared to the Torque Converter? Plus gears are only about $140 brand new ring and pinon i would keep my stock G80 for money reasons.
3.42s aren't bad off the line when you have monster torque.
Yea which i guess i dont have....
That's what I thought (RPM) but I failed to look at the head mods in your signature. I assume you're still in 3rd at the lights with that much RPM?
Yea i shift into 3rd at 94mph then at 99mph i cross the 1/4 mile. Would lowering my shift points improve my time? I have HP tuners and what little tuning knowlege i have...
Also the 05 CCSB Silverado that ran 14.2 at 95mph with the stock 6.0l swap had 5700 1-2 and 5800 2-3 shift points.
That's a question for someone else here. if Allen put it there, it's probably the way it shoould be. Wish you had a video.
Ill get my roommate to take some next time we head down to the track.
What rpm are you guys power braking to with stock torque converters? just to see if im doing something wrong. I launch from 1500rpms highest i think i can get it. Maybe can get it to 1600...
I launch at 1500 RPM's with a 3k stall. Then again I have been spinning off the line lately so maybe I am doing something wrong! lol
