vibration in driveline. help please!

Put it up on jackstands and go 100 mph while you lay under it and look. Wellll...maybe off to the SIDE...you can keep guessing and throwing money at it or look for yourself. Put the front two jackstands on the frame by the trans x-member, put the rear jackstands on the rear axle so that the suspension is loaded(as if it were on the ground.) Get someone you trust to listen well AND not over rev the motor since its not loaded up with weight it will rev very easily. Lie on the ground beside the truck and look under it to see what is vibrating...any other way and you ARE GUESSING.

Like Greg said, unless you got it balanced before you put it in you may assume that it is NOT balanced. :D Just the facts there.

Is the angle of driveshaft to transmission = driveshaft to rear end?

That is one piece driveshaft, correct?

Does your ass vibrate??(haha, as in the rear of the truck?)
You will know once you look under it......point the truck at a sand dune or stack of paper incase it falls off the jackstands and careens to its demise. Nah, you'll be ok.:burnrub:

haha well i just might have to. im going to check stuff out in the morning and if i cant come to any conclusion other than that i will...

i have no idea about the angle of the drive shaft to the transmission... or to the rear end is... when it comes down to it i wish i knew more about the drive line but i just dont :(

well its hard to tell because it sorta just kicked in all at once pretty bad ill try it tomorrow and see what i come up with.. im supposed to go to the track friday for a few 1/8 runs for the first time but i really dont want to bust anything either... i called a few places today about getting it balanced i gota call back tomorrow and hope he can do it soon...

With 4.56 gears your shaft could be spinning much much faster and that might b the vides. You might consider investing in a driveshaft from dennys.

So did you put it up on jack stands and see what was vibrating?

haha no i really havent had time lately... im going to try to get around to it this weekend and also try to figure out why my break lights are being funky. i dont know if maybe the relay is bad or something. i guess ill find out.
